New Delhi, Jan 12: The RK Bharati Foundation (RKBF) today organized various programmes at Jammu and New Delhi in memory of Late Sh RK Bharati, A prominent Writer, Journalist, Scholar and Broadcaster, who passed away last year on January 12.
The members of the RK Bharati Foundation Jammu and New Delhi held prayer meetings and also distributed food items among children at an Orphanage in Jammu.
A simple but impressive function was held at Rohini Delhi under the Chairmanship of the Delhi unit head of RKBF Rockey Pandita, a well known social activist, where rich tributes were paid to late RK Bharati.
Paying tributes to late RK Bharati on his first death anniversary, Er Rockey Pandita recalled his association with Mr Bharati and said that he was not only an eminent scholar, journalist but also a messenger of love, peace, compassion, truth, justice and communal harmony.
He said that late Bharati was an intellectual par excellence who would visualize the forthcoming political and social changes and used to guide the people through his writings.
Terming him as a person much ahead of his times Rockey said that Bharati had visualized the forced migration of Kashmiri Pandits twenty years before it actually occurred.
Meanwhile in Jammu the RK Bharati Foundation held prayer meeting at his residence and also organized a function at Bal Niketan where breakfast was served to the children of the orphanage.
Speaking on the occasion the Foundation Chairman King C Bharati said that due to certain circumstances he could not publish the book which was due on his first death anniversary adding the works of RK Bharati would be published very soon.
He said that RK Bharati was a practical man and loved the concept of helping the orphans and old aged and it was due to this fact that the foundation decided to serve food among the needy instead of organizing any other function.
He however assured that the foundation would try to follow the footsteps of RK Bharati by making some worthwhile contribution befitting his intellectual superiority.
